Entries from all fields welcome.
The Simmons College 8th Annual Graduate Student Conference seeks papers and panels from all disciplines exploring the future of academia, professions and theory. What past themes and challenges will shape the direction of the new millennium? How will current trends and issues influence the 21st century? What debates, discourses and interpretations will lead discussion?
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
education - history - feminism - medicine - communication - art - politics - race - technology - media - gender - cultures & sub-cultures - class - science - violence - ethnicity
Individual presentations should run no longer than 15 minutes, and panels no longer than 1 hour. When submitting, please enclose the following information with your abstract/paper/panel proposal (abstracts should be no longer than one typed page, double-spaced): Name, address, phone, e-mail, school, department, program and title of paper. Also please inform us if you have audio-visual requirements or scheduling limitations.
