"Sports and Body Culture in Modern Japan: An International Conference"
will be held at Yale University on Friday afternoon, March 31 and all-day Saturday, April 1.
Organized by Prof. William Kelly of Yale University and Professor Sugimoto Atsuo of Kyoto University of Education, the conference will bring together anthropologists, sociologists, and historians from Japan, North America, and
Europe who are doing current research on these issues. The fifteen
participants are giving presentations on Friday afternoon and all-day on Saturday that are open to the public. Details of the schedule and participants are available at http://www.yale.edu/ceas/events/sport.html.
