H-Net Announcement Bilingual History Site - English and Dutch

This website was originally designed for Dutch high school students studying for their final exams. Dutch-language items are translated into English, carefully edited, and placed on an English-language page.

The site features detailed timelines, historical maps, images and a prize contest (for Dutch high school kids only).

Topics are those covered by the official Dutch final exam in history. These topics change every year. "StudyBuddy" currently brings you:

  • History of the Netherlands, 1880-1919
  • German history, 1945-2000
  • Medieval Europe, 1150-1360
  • Transcaucasian republics, 1991-2000
  • Argentina, 1943-2000
