West Virginia University announces the 4th Annual Senator Rush Holt History Conference.
To be held October 13 and 14, 2000 in Morgantown, West Virginia
"Fitting In: Ethnic, Gender, and Class Identities in History"
With the Thirty-ninth annual James M. Callahan Lecture presented by
Dr. Linda Grant De Pauw, Professor Emerita, George Washington University and Director of the Minerva Center for the study of women and the military.
The conference committee invites papers and panel proposals from any field of history that applies to this year's theme. Completed panel proposals will be given preferential consideration. Abstracts will be accepted until July 1, 2000. Abstracts should be between 250 and 500 words in length and discuss the paper's theme and its conclusions.
