Annual Conference of the Florida Conference of Historians
Friday, March 31, 1999 - Saturday, April 1, 2000, Orlando, FL
The Florida Conference of Historians, founded in 1962, holds an annual conference to provide persons with interests in any field of history the opportunity to share their scholarship. It especially seeks to promote a sense of collegiality among faculty teaching history in Florida's colleges and universities. Past participants and presenters have come from across the nation and several foreign countries; they have included university, college, and community college faculty; public historians from the National Archives, Library of Congress, state and local museums, military bases, and historical sites; secondary school teachers; and graduate students.
The combined Conference Registration and Annual Membership Fee is:
$65 for pre-registration by March 3; $75 after March 3.
Graduate Students and High School teachers receive a special rate of:
$50 for pre-registration by March 3; $60 after March 3.
The fee includes coffee breaks and a luncheon. The Conference Site is the Valencia Community College EAST Campus.
