Three historians on the meat trade are looking for a chair for the upcoming AHA 2001 conference. Our panel is entitled, "TALES OF PRIDE AND DEATH: BUTCHERS' NARRATIVES AND POLITICS IN 18TH AND 19TH CENTURY PARIS, MEXICO CITY, AND NEW YORK CITY." Asianists, Latin Americanists, and Africanists welcome.
