General editor for the Encyclopedia of Colonialism, a three-volume reference work on imperialism and colonialism of the modern era (roughly post-1400). The encyclopedia is being produced by East River Books--a New York-based book packager--and will be published by ABC-CLIO, a major California-based reference publisher. The editor's assignments will include: 1) revising and expanding the tentative table of contents; 2) finding and signing up contributing writers; 3) general editing work (for content/organization; basic copy-editing and fact-checking will be handled by us); and 4) helping in the process of locating English-language, copyright-free original documents. Credentials of the editor include: 1) PhD in appropriate discipline; 2) affiliation with a higher education or research institution; and 3)
publications in the appropriate field.
