WOMEN AND WORK IN JAPAN, a special course at the Japan Center for Michigan Universities (on the shore of Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture, Japan) will be offered May 9-29, 2000. The units include "Women as Caregivers," "Women in Paid Employment," and "Changing Perceptions of Working Women." Participants may also continue study in JCMU's Summer Intensive Japanese program (June -August). The program will be led by Dr. Janice Bardsley of the University of North Carolina -- Chapel Hill.
