I seek previously unpublished essays (20 to 30 pages)on any fiction by Bessie Head for a collection of essays to be published by Greenwood Press in September 2000 as a title in its Contributions in Afro-American and African Studies series. I am particularly interested in critical papers on MARU and A QUESTION OF POWER as well as Head's short fiction. Please email abstracts of papers prior to sending complete papers.
