The SPEECH COMMUNICATION ANNUAL, the official
publication of the New York State Communication Association,
invites submissions on all facets of communication scholarship.
This includes articles dealing with research, theory, criticism,
and pedagogy in the areas of speech, communication, media,
and technology.
Submissions to the SPEECH COMMUNICATION ANNUAL are subject
to a process of blind peer review.
Submissions should not be under consideration for original
publication in any other journal, periodical, or anthology,
or otherwise published or posted online. If the submission
or any portion thereof has been presented as a paper at a
conference, it should be so indicated on the title page.
Authors must submit five copies of the manuscript for review.
Submissions should be no more than 6,000 words or 25 double-spaced
typed pages in length. A single paragraph abstract of no more
than 150 words should be included on the first page of
the manuscript. Tables and illustrations should be kept
to a minimum, and the author is responsible for obtaining
permissions if any copyrighted material is used.
All manuscripts must conform to the style of the
Publication Manual of the APA (4th ed.), 1994. If accepted
for publication, an electronic version of the article
on floppy disk in Microsoft Word must be made available,
with any table or illustrations inserted into the document.
Inquiries and submissions should be directed to Lance Strate, Editor or
Susan Jacobson, Associate Editor.
