As urban network chair for the Y2K SSHA Conference to be held in Pittsburgh, Oct. 26-29, I would like to invite session and paper proposals from all interested parties. Please refer to http://www.ipums.umn.edu/~ssha/urban/ for currently proposed sessions, contact, and submission information. You should also contact me with a brief description of your session or paper and phone fax, e-mail, and department and insitituional affiliation. Volunteers for session chairs and discussants will be greatly appreciated. If anyone, particularly past ssha urban conference participants, is interested in participating in putting-on a required retrospective session on past urban network themes, please do not hesitate to contact me as soon as possible. For myself, I am trying to organize a session on Transportation.
Papers on any particular mode, period, project, or country will be welcome, subject to appropriate restrictions. If you wish to participate in this session, also please contact me as soon as possible. Although the conference is in October, 2000, the deadline for submission of proposals is February 1, 2000. Before submitting and any session or paper proposals, please send a brief description of your session or paper along with address, phone and fax numbers, and your department and institutional affiliation to Conrad Rein at crein@norpc.org
