The Flannery O'Connor Society invites proposals for papers to be delivered at the South Atlantic Modern Language Association Convention Conference, Nov. 10-12, 2000, Sheraton Civic Center, Birmingham, Alabana. Topic: Point of View in Flannery O'Connor's Fiction. Though we are accustomed to refer to Flannery O'Connor's narrative voice as if point of view were a constant in her fiction, effectively the point of view changes from story to story and even within a single story as a particular character's point of view is favored. Studies of this and other conceptions of point of view in O'Connor's work are invited.
