JFQ is published for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by the Institute for National Securities Studies, National Defense University. The journal focuses on joint doctrine (the integrated employment of air, land, sea, space and special operations forces), coalition (multi-national) operations, contingency planning, combat operations and joint force development. Articles cover historical perspectives, current operations and future concepts. All JFQ issues are online and available at the JFQ website.
