The Committee for the History of Retailing and Distribution (CHORD) invites porposals for a conference to be held at THE UNIVERSITY OF WOLVERHAMPTON, UK on 14 AND 15 SEPTEMBER 2000.

The Committee for the History of Retailing and Distribution welcomes proposals from all disciplinary and methodological perspectives, addressing any aspect of the history of retailing and distribution, whether focusing on small or large-scale enterprises. It particularly welcomes proposals on:

• Innovation, Competition and Control
• Perceptions, Representations and Identities
• Urban, Suburban and Rural Retailing
