"Why Vietnam Invaded Cambodia"
with Stephen J. Morris and Elizabeth Becker
Dr. Stephen J. Morris, a Fellow at the Paul H. Nitze School of
International Studies (SAIS), author of The Soviet-Chinese-Vietnamese
Triangle in the 1970's: The View From Moscow (Cold War International
History Project Working Paper No 25), will discuss his new book Why
Vietnam Invaded Cambodia. Political Culture and the Causes of War (1999),
which is based, in part, on new Russian archival documentation. A
commentary will be given by Elizabeth Becker, Pentagon correspondent, The
New York Times, and author of When the War Was Over (1998), a history of
the Khmer Rouge and modern Cambodia.
