The James A. Barnes Club, the Graduate History Association of Temple University, announces its Fifth Annual Graduate Student History Conference. The conference will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2000, at Temple University-Center City Campus 1616 Walnut St, 3rd Floor, Philadelphia, PA.

All graduate students wishing to present a paper are encouraged to submit a one page abstract to Patrick Speelman, at speel@astro.ocis.temple.edu.

The spirit of the Barnes Club conference is interdisciplinary; past conferences have included panels on a wide range of topics in military, diplomatic, social, political, and world history, as well as panels exploring methodological and epistemological issues.

The submission deadline for abstracts is DECEMBER 15, 1999
