Shapers of the Great Debates - Contributors Sought for New Series

Possible contributors sought for a new series entitled: SHAPERS OF THE GREAT DEBATES. Each volume (book) in this series will focus on one of the great debates in American history, e.g. the Civil War, Women's Rights, the Civil Rights Movement, in particular on the notable men and women who shaped these debates. Authors will pay special attention to the life histories of the shapers as well as their views and actions. Each volume will include an introductionary essay, approximately 15-20 biographies of ten to fifteen pages, each, an annotated appendix of other key figures, and a bibliography. One volume, on immigration, has already been published. Several others, on Vietnam, Native Americans and the Jacksonian Era, are forthcoming. Prospective authors should contact Professor Peter B.
