On November 25-26, 1999, NeTHCA (Network for Theory, History and Criticism of Architecture), with the help of, among others, the Belgian National Science Foundation, will host "Inside Density", an international colloquium on architecture and cities, at the historic BBL bank headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
Keynote speakers are Pascal Amphoux (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland) and Mark Wigley (Princeton University, USA).
Two days of non-parallel paper sessions will feature twenty presentations by architects, historians, theoreticians and scholars from four continents. Session titles include "The City as Subject"; "Thinking Density"; and "Mapping, Designing, and Negotiating Boundaries".
