Deadline for submissions: January 31, 2000

Eligibility: Presenters should be graduate students currently enrolled in a graduate program. Papers on ALL TOPICS related to Africa and the African Diaspora in ALL DISCIPLINES will be considered. University faculty members are invited to serve as panel chairs and discussants.

Submissions: Graduate students should submit three (3) copies of an abstract by January 31, 2000. The abstract should be no longer than a single page (1 ˝ or double spaced with 1 inch margins is preferred) and should briefly summarize the thesis, methodology, and conclusions of the paper. Full-length papers need not be submitted until conference organizers select abstracts for inclusion in the conference program. However, papers should be completed by the time of application, as copies will be requested for distribution to panel chairs and discussants in March 2000. On a separate sheet include the following contact information: name, university, department, telephone number, mailing address, and e-mail address. Submissions should be sent to the address listed below.
