The symposium is inter-disciplinary, and this year, the main themes include:
City, Space and Identity

Narrative, Representation and Culture
Sex, Body and Gender
Socio-economic and Political Changes
Information Technology and others
The IPS aims to provide a chance for postgraduate students (Ph.D. and Master students) from different universities in different parts of the world to present and discuss their research work on Hong Kong Studies. We hope to widen the horizon of post-graduate students by providing a forum for them to meet and interact with other postgraduates and established scholars from local and overseas institutions. To make the meeting more rewarding, distinguished and well-established specialists on different aspects of Hong Kong Studies will be invited to share their ideas and comment on the students' research and raise questions for further consideration.
