The 2000 Annual Meeting of the Western Conference of the Association for Asian Studies will be held on Friday and Saturday, October 6-7 hosted by California State University, Long Beach. A Pre-Conference Reception for attendees will be held on Thursday evening, October 5, 2000, at the Conference venue, the Long Beach Airport Marriott Hotel.
CSULB is proud to once again host the Western Conference, as it did in 1985 and 1989 when nearly 400 and 500 individuals attended respectively. The Long Beach Airport Marriott is conveniently located midway between LAX and Orange County Airports, and a number of carriers service Long Beach Airport. More information will be posted on the WCAAS 2000 webpage, in the near future. This will be an exciting meeting to initiate the new millennium, and we look forward to seeing you and your participation.
