Peter E. Cozzens, Deputy Consul General at the U.S. Embassy in Panama, will deliver the annual Hayes Lecture on the Presidency. His lecture is entitled: "Rutherford B. Hayes and George Crook: A Friendship Forged in War." Cozzens has written five books, all History Book Club alternates, and include This Terrible Sound: The Battle of Chickamauga, which was selected as one of the 100 greatest books on the Civil War by Civil War Magazine.
