Conference Dates: Friday, March 17 - Saturday, March 18, 2000
Conference Location: York University, Toronto, Ontario
We invite applicants to submit proposals of 250 words for individual papers or panels of 2-3 papers. Panels will be organized around the following suggested themes:
- Class and Culture
- Pop culture and Consumerism
- Gender, Sexuality and the Body
- Nation, State, and Community
- Geography, Space and Place
- Science, Technology, and Medicine
- Race, Ethnicity, and Identity
- Theory and Methodology
Papers will be organized into sessions of 2 or 3 papers with 20 minutes allotted for the presentation of each paper. Please include a short biographical statement, a mailing address and email address with your proposal. Submissions from all disciplines, which take a historical approach to their subject, are welcome.
