Who: Graduate students at the American Studies Association Conference
When: Friday, October 29, 4:00-5:30
Where: SALON J of Le Centre Sheraton
Students make up 16% of the ASA membership and 25% of conference attendees. It's time to come together, discuss the issues we face, and formulate strategies to address them.
This FIRST EVER Graduate Student Town Hall Meeting is sponsored by the ASA Students' Committee. Topics on the agenda are unionization, diversity within American Studies, professional development, and post-graduate school options. We invite you to bring your own agenda items and concerns or simply come meet students from other programs and hear their perspectives. This meeting will be open to graduate students only.
The Students' Committee thinks graduate students are an important ASA constituency. There's strength in numbers and discussing our shared concerns can only help us. See you there!
