In September 16, 1999 the National Politechnical Institute (IPN, México), authorized initiation of the applied research project titled "Development of a method for quality evaluation of higher education services, from a CONSUMERS perspective". Results of this investigation will constitute a major contribution to the adequate functioning of the North American Network of Consumers of Higher Education Services (RENACSES, for its initials in Spanish), which since March 15, 1999 is in its incubation phase (that will extend till september 16, 2000). A free on line workshop will take place October 1-October 7, 1999. World wide reserachers in the field of quality evaluation in higher education services, will me more than welcome to take part in this academic event.
