Current research on the relationship between gender and corporate
America's quest for consumers is sought for a panel that will examine
the ways in which American businesses have shaped and responded to
ideals of womanhood and manhood in this century. Ideally, the papers
will integrate the study of American business practices with the study
of gender and cultural history, reflecting the theme of the 2000
Business History Conference, "Enterprise in Society."
