CIVIL RIGHTS IN THE UNITED STATES (two-volume encyclopedia, encompassing many civil rights movements in the U.S.), to be published January 2000, has a small number of unassigned articles remaining and is seeking persons to write those articles. As this project is far along, the articles would be needed in short order (around three to four weeks). There is a small honorarium paid for each article. Very short essays are wanted (usually 250 - 500 words). Longer pieces (around 1500 words) are asterisked. As follows:
