Call for Papers

Please submit abstracts for 20-25 minute talks. Papers accepted for presentation will be considered for a proceedings publication. Submissions may take any perspective provided they deal with the theoretical and practical relationships between the literary text and the arts (both visual and performing).

Areas of inquiry include but are not limited to the following topics:

• Form
• Aesthetic Value
• Translation
• Adaptation
• Aesthetic Emotion
• Ekphrasis
• Gender Representation
• Cultural Identity
• Image Theory
• Iconography in Popular Culture

The deadline for receiving abstracts is January 31, 2000. Acceptance of your paper for presentation implies a commitment to register and attend the conference. Papers will not be read if the presenter is unable to attend. Notification of acceptance will be sent out by March 1, 2000. Please send 3 copies of a 250 word abstract. Include the title of the paper on the abstract, but not your name.

Include a cover page with the following information:

• author's name(s) and affiliation(s)
• mailing address
• e-mail address
• title of presentation
• three to five keywords
