This conference aims to provide a forum for innovative and challenging postgraduate work in the field of modernist studies in its literary, social, political, artistic and philosophical contexts. Concentrating its interest in the period from the late-nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century, this conference hopes to promote scholarly exchange and social interaction between postgraduate students from different disciplines as well as plumb the depth and breadth of new approaches to modernism in its European, American, Asian and Australian manifestations.
