The Council will convene its 12th biennial Conference of Europeanists, March 30-April 1, 2000 in Chicago, Palmer House Hilton. The proposal deadline is October 1, 1999. Guidelines, forms, bulletin boards and grant information is to be found on http://WWW.EUROPANET.ORG

In conjunction with the Conference, the Council will offer YOUNG SCHOLARS NETWORKING GRANTS: to foster pre-conference networking to develop panels, the Council offers prizes to young scholars on a competitive basis. To be eligible, participants must show that they have used the EUROPANET web site to connect with other scholars in order to develop their panel proposal and that the proposal has been accepted by the conference committee.
