GLORY BOUND, a week long conference on railroad chapel cars will be held at Green Lake, Wisconsin, October 10-17. The conference will provide history of the thirteen churches-on-rails sponsored by Episcopal, Roman Catholic, and Baptist organizations between 1890 and 1940. Authors Wilma & Norman Taylor, authors of Bound for Glory (1999) along with specialists in both the history of religion and railroads, will provide context for this chapter of mission history in the rural west and south.
