The Friends of the Washingtoniana Division (FWD), and the Historical Society of Washington DC (HSW) sponsor research workshops approximately every other month.
Family history; neighborhood history; Building history research; and
local photographic resources.
Matthew Gilmore (DCPL) and Gail Redmann (HSW) introduce materials and
resources, and research strategies are explained and opportunity is given for hands-on use of the resources of each facility. Workshops generally are held on Tuesdays from 5:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.; beginning at the Historical Society of Washington DC (1307 New Hampshire Ave, NW) and concluding at Washingtoniana Division, Martin Luther King Memorial Library.
Cost is: $15 (members FWD/HSW) or $20 (nonmembers). [Subway fare is included in the fee.]
