The Fourth Annual ASU Writers Conference is scheduled for February 24, 25, & 26, 2000.
The event takes place at Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas. Past keynote speakers have included Elmer Kelton, Rudolfo Anaya, and W.P. Kinsella. The main speaker for 2000 has not been determined, but will be someone of national prominence in his or her field. The Conference also features readings in original poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and film, as well as critical readings in those areas. The thematic focus is upon writing about the Southwest and writers from the Southwest, although submissions on any region or topic will be considered. Inquire further or send papers to James A. Deadline for submitting work for presentation is December 4, 1999.
