The Women's Studies Program at Southern Connecticut State University will be hosting its Ninth Annual Conference, "Global Justice/Women's Rights," Oct. 1-2,1999.
The Keynote is Rigoberta Menchu Tum, the 1992 Nobel Peace Prize Recipient. Other featured speakers are: Tuzyline Jita Allan, Amnesty International USA, Rita Arditti with Estela de Carlotto & Rosa Roisinblitt of Las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, Cynthia Enloe, Sattareh Farman Farmaian, Hawa Ghaus & Zeiba Shorish-Shamley on the Taliban, and Mildred Robbins Leet.
