The 18th annual MePHiSToS graduate student conference for the history,
philosophy, and sociology of science, technology, and medicine will be held at the University of Oklahoma, October 1-2, 1999.
Mephistos is an opportunity for graduate students to present papers,
engage in informal discussion, and meet students from other
universities. Although Mephistos will appeal to people in science
studies, students in other areas touching on the sciences or with an
interest in interdisciplinary research are also encouraged to submit
paper proposals and to attend the conference.
The 1999 Program Committee seeks proposals for individual papers related to the History, Philosophy, and Sociology of Science, Technology, and Medicine from the ancient period to the present. Please mail, email or fax a one-page abstract for a 15-20 minute paper and brief c.v. postmarked by August 9, 1999 to the address listed below.
