Description: The deadline for submission of papers for the annual meeting of
the Communal Studies Association has been extended to June 1. The theme of the
conference is "The Dawning of a Brighter Day: Anticipating the New Millenium,
Reflecting on the Close of the Old." The Association invites papers and
presentations on topics relating to all aspects of communal living. Because of
the location of this year's conference in the spectacular canyon country of
southern Utah, topics pertenent to the local region will be particularly
welcome. Papers may be concerned with historical themes and topics or
contemporary intentional communities.
