Poems and flash fictions (500 words max for fictions) on writing, teaching,
reading, classroom environments, students, literacy, and related topics are
invited for In Praise of Pedagogy, a volume to be published by Calendar Islands
Publishers.
The book, edited by Wendy Bishop and David Starkey, will consist of imaginative
work by teachers of literature, composition and creative writing, and a
bibliography of previously published poems and short stories on this theme.
(Writers whose work is accepted will be asked to share citations and
suggestions for the bibliography.) Both unpublished and previously published
work is welcome. However, the copyright for all submissions must be held by
contributors.
