The University of Memphis Department of History and the Graduate History Association has extended the deadline for submissions for the First Annual Graduate Student Conference in African American History which will be held October 22-23rd, 1999.

Any graduate student wishing to present a paper on any topic in African American history is invited to submit a proposal which includes a one-page abstract, postmarked no later than May 31, 1999. Individual papers and panels are welcome.
