"The Women of Appalachia: Their Heritage and Accomplishments" will be held
at the Ohio University Zanesville Campus on October 27-29, 1999.
This conference will explore the issues and conditions that have molded the
lives and influenced the thinking of generations of women that have called
the Appalachian region home. The featured speakers will include Gerri
Gribi, Wilma Dykeman Stokely, Lynda Ann Ewen, Jo Carson, and Jack Wright.
- Social Work CEU's will be available pending approval of the Ohio Social
Work Licensing Board.
- Ticketed tours are available to The Longaberger Homestead and Appalachian
potteries.
- All Conference Proceedings will be published.
