The British Association for Irish Studies will be holding its biennial
conference at Bath Spa University College on 10-12 September 1999.
Title of conference: 'Margins, Mainstreams and Moving Frontiers'
Over 40 papers in parallel sessions, poetry and music. Some of the
themes include:
The Irish in Britain; the Irish in film and music; Gender roles and
private resistance; The Media, Gender and Ethnicity; Contemporary
Ireland and the Future; the Peace Process.
