Welcome to APLEF

History

APLEF is an association which is born at a meeting of hundred of young girls who hold university degrees and different profiles in training programs in women leadership initiated and financed by former US president Bill Clinton . The program in Mali has been funded by USAID and executed by a special American agency called AMEX International , women trained by this program, have served in many places in Mali. At the end of the program ,we were proud of the obtained results , and with the acquired experience,those women decided to unite their effort in the creation of a structure which can help their counter part to become leader, to know they are valuable human being, so thy can better participate to the development of the country.

APLEF has been creating on October 19th, 2001 and officially recognized in December 2001.

Mission of APLEF is to promote women in the field of education, democratic governance, environment and health ; so they can become the real actorsof development.

The Goals

Promote Leadership;
Serve as a support advisor to woman so their life can be better;
Contribute to the Education of youg girls, to the training of women;
Help Malian women to become the leaders, the good citizens, so they can defend themself expand and participate to the developpement of the young girls ;
Establish flourish relations with organisations, a National and International associations;
Support all politic intervening in the search of solution to women problems;

Intervening Area

Education, training, reinforcing institutions;
Democratic Governnace;
Health and fooding of Women and children;
Environment protection;
Micro-finances;
Information and training;
Promoting specifically women and youg girls;

Human Resources

APLEF is a unique strucutre of its owns. it is a group composed by only university degree women holder, who have experience in the field of training .

It is an organisation which has 97 members.
- One executive bureau composed of 19 members;
-General Assembly which gave red twice a year;
- An evaluation commission (6) six members;
- Advisor board (7) members;

Location of APLEF

It is located in Bamako, but can be transferred to any other location in Mali. For the moment, the only financial partners of APLEF is USAID, which gave us considerable materials support for the equipment of our location and scholarship for USA.
