- Programs encouraging women to be candidates at the November1996 local elections.

- Participation in the legislative campaign of 1998 about "Democracy, where are you?"
- COSEF supports all organizations involved in gender issues, including support to the Committee to end violence against women .
- Seminar about the sensibilisation of local representatives.
- Seminar about "what partnership between women leaders themselves and between women leaders and grassroots"
- Participation in the campain for the presidential elections of 2000.(letters to the candidates, press conference,etc...)
- Presentation of the premiere of the movie "FAAT KINE" by Sembene Ousmane (about the struggle of a woman to make a living).
- Seminar about "the new political landscape" and women's strategies for the next elections, on november, the 28th and29th 2000.
